Support for our Residents during COVID-19

Dear Residents,

These are unprecedented times and as responsible residential property owners and managers, we want to support our residents with important information and resources.

At H&R Property Management we believe we have the responsibility to ensure the safety of our employees and well as our residents and properties.

  • We have open and ongoing correspondence with residents urging them to contact their public health agency to receive assistance, should they suspect that they are affected by COVID-19.
  • We are refocusing maintenance and building cleaning in high traffic common areas like elevators, lobbies, laundry rooms, and other common spaces.
  • We are closing non-essential public spaces, including gyms and swimming pools, to rationalize cleaning resources and minimize potential spread and exposure of the virus among our staff and residents.

In addition to the above we want to make sure residents are aware of measures the federal and provincial governments have put in place to support residents who may be suffering financial hardship related to job loss, additional burdens caring for family, or illness due to COVID-19.

Here are some resources to web-sites that you may be eligible for:

Employment Insurance

Please also be aware of the growing issue of text and email scams relating to the above benefits. Your best resource for reliable information continues to be official Canadian government website and telephone numbers.

As mentioned previously our main priority is to protect the health and safety of our residents and employees and to continue to provide essential housing services in a healthy and safe manner.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate updates to all of our residents as the situation progresses. In the meantime, we urge you to follow the guidance of public health officials and government authorities in the coming weeks.

Lastly, we appreciate your understanding as we navigate through the current situation with as little disruption as possible and our offices remain open to communication and questions from you.

Stay well and stay safe.
